A street in Oxford city centre is on lockdown following a shootout between police and an armed man.

Residents reported hearing bangs after shots were fired from a residential property in Paradise Square.


Armed police returned fire. The street - Norfolk Road - is closed while officers continue to negotiate with the suspect.
