  1. SC and thank you. I'm guessing next stages is fitness and medical ect?
  2. Got an email saying passed my assessment and they will contact me regarding next stages shortly which is good news. Where does it tell you your score or does it only do that if your short?
  3. I have had my assessment, just waiting on results now. Has anyone heard anything yet, is it usually cia email or a physical letter posted to your address? Thanks
  4. Yeah no big deal not in any major rush to be fair! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  5. They said I will be kept on file so don't need to go through the application again so not too bad. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  6. Good Afternoon, I have had to withdraw from the CNC due to my eye sight not making the grade unaided, I intend to turn my attention to my local force who are recruiting tomorrow! I plan to apply for both PC and Special at the same time as if I do not get PC, id love the be a special to get a feel for the service in the mean time to get some experience! Good luck to anyone applying!
  7. Gutted chaps they have withdrew my application due to my right eye. I was looking forward to my assessment this Friday too! I have spoken to HR and their Oc Health and they advised their currently reviewing the details with regards to glasses and contacts. I am going to get some contacts this weekend as she said I may be ok after 3 months wear signed off by optician so not all is lost. I will try again once contacts are all good as my sight was 6/5 with them in which is 2 lines better than the requirement. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. Got a bit of an issue with my eye check. My left eye was fine 6/7.5 however my right eye was 6/9-1 which was 1 short of the requirement. I tried a lense and they where both 6/5 which was 2 better than the requirement. I am going to contact HR tomorrow, anyone have a idea of they will accept me or not? 9. Nah mine has been pretty quick only applied in November so 2 months does not seem too bad at all really! Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  10. We have not yet confirmed dates for medicals in 2016. Should you pass your assessment day you will receive notification by email about forthcoming medicals. This is what it reads on my email, so providing I am successfull at assessment centre I would of thought medical wont be too far behind it.
  11. Its a hell of a hike like haha, just had a look on google maps and ill be looking at over 4 and a half hours with traffic, maybe 5 hours if I hit the morning rush at around 8-9am. Will be worth it tho when I get home atleast, hopefully the medical is a little closer if successful.
  12. Not looking forward to the drive, I need to be there for 12PM so no idea what time to set off, it is about a 4 hour drive so may leave at 6AM just incase I get stuck in any work traffic ect. I am at a birthday party on the evening so hopefully back on the road and home for 8PM the latest

You going to Sellafield? How many people are on your training course, do they usually fill them up? The only issue for me would be finding a new place to live and what area, I will be renting my current property out as it will provide me a good rental yield so would ideally like to rent for around £700-£800 per month to begin with around Workington or wherever is best. I will then buy a property once I know the area more ect. I have a little boy who will be 5 so only real concern is being near a good school which is the main thing. How long does the assessment usually last in total? I have got my bleep test first, then I need to go elsewhere to do a fire arm assessment, written assessment around 20 minutes and an interview which lasts around 45 minutes. I am guessing around 2 hours or so after the bleep test, it is a 4 hour drive so hopefully back on the road before rush hour traffic.
  14. Not long now chaps for me, a week tomorrow ill be heading down for my assessment. I have been sent some forms for Vetting and Bank Details ect via email to fill in and take with me. Hopefully a positive sign as they may rush me in to a upcoming course possibly? I am looking forward to it!

Good Evening, I have applied for a role of an investigator which is currently available, anyone have any information on the recruitment process for such roles? I am only at shortlisting stage so may not get anywhere near, but I am doing my research early. Do they do assessments like Constables as it's more of an administration job as oppose to being a regular officer does anyone know? Many thanks Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
