Just passed the PIR test and interview. Waiting on the medical and physical. Hope to start my training in September 2005.

This has been the most informative website regarding Specials that I have seen to date. I am applying shortly to the specials in Wiltshire and I must pass on my thanks to you for answering alot of unanswered questions. I will definately be visiting again. Good luck to anyone out there who wants to be a special as it appears to be well worth the effort. Great website! Keep it up!!

hi all i have applied to join the specials and am waiting for a reply after sending off my security check forms. the thing is i'm not sure how i will stand with joining because beforre i met my husband five years ago he had been in a lot of trouble and had served 6 months in a YOI. he has stayed out of trouble since before i met him, i am not sure if this will affect my chances of getting in to the specials. i really want to join up as i have wanted to for so long. if anyone can advise me on this i would be really grateful. thanks . ps. what a great site this is, love coming back again and again.

Hi great web site , i was wondering if anyone could tell me what the pass rate is for the initial test and what to expect from the interview any tips ? and also for the fitness you have to pull and push 35kg is that the same for a female ? thanks Rachel

Was a Special constable with a Essex Force for ten years. Now retired.

just finished after 17 years based at the crescent salford, loved it especially the crack with 'D' Relief who i always worked with.

Hi all, I've been an active Special now for about two months, and I'm loving it!!!!
Not only have I met some fantastic people, but it has helped me make my mind-up about joining the reg's.
For anyone considering joining the Specials; all I can say is GO FOR IT!!!!! you wont regret it.

I have found your web-site and especially the forums very useful.
I have just had interview and awaiting a reply, I know it went okay.
I have made contact using the forum with some specials where I would like to be stationed.
They have given me alot of help and advise; which I will continue to use.

Very informative website, I am looking to join the specials if Devon/Cornwall constabulary turn me down. Passed everything for Hmapshire regulars with minimum pass rate yet still did not get in so have been passed over to D/C, keeping my fingers crossed!!

I have just completed my first weekend of training with 9 other really great guys! We had lots of fun and are in the process of learning even more!!!

Can't wait for the next session in a fortnight's time!
