According to these figures, there have been 78 assaults on Grampian Police Officers in the period April 2009 - March 2010.

So if Grampian have 1544 Regulars and Specials (according to Wikipedia!), that equates to about 5% of officers.

Does anyone know the rough figure for the number of frontline officers? Because 5% seems very low when you consider that a fair proportion of officers are not on uniformed response duties. What do you think?
