I'm delighted to announce the NEW design PoliceSpecials.com tie pin is in stock and ready for immediate shipment:

Posted Image

The tie pin measures about 2.5cm across, and is made in silver-coloured metal with a blue and white enamelled front. Each pin is supplied in a separate plastic packet, complete with a butterfly clasp on the back.

Cost: just £2.50 each (plus P&P). This is even cheaper than the previous pins, and the pins before them - in fact, it's an inflation busting credit crunching price!!

Available from PatrolStore - click here to order

Such a shame shipping is £3.99. If the shipping charge ever drops to something a lot more reasonable I would love to get one of these.

I found that too, more expensive than the badge.

Once again royal mail cause problems for the general public. It is due to the strike action by royal mail that patrol store have had to resort to using a courier service for all order now including the ones under 1kg the following is an email from patrol store regarding this.

Dear Customer,

Given current disruption to Royal Mail's service PatrolStore has moved its postal contract to a major UK courier company.

All UK Mainland* items will now be courier delivered, guaranteed next working day or the cost of your postage will be refunded!

To minimize the impact of the strikes on our customers the majority of the increased cost is being absorbed by PatrolStore.

Our new standard charge is just £3.99 for UK Mainland* orders weighing less than 1Kg and, due to the increased volume of packages we now send with our courier, we have in fact lowered our upper UK Mainland* rate for anything over 1Kg to just £5.49.

I ordered the SC tie pin from PMTTS, £2.50 + £1.20 p&p

I wear it with pride, and wear it every day.

Here is a picture of it on my works fleece, shameless advertising on my part too :D

You obviously aren't interested in buying one then are you guys? £6.49 in total, regardless of how it breaks down is hardly expensive...

I'd like a Special Constabulary stripe tie as in the style of Army regimental ties.

I still have the die set up for this pin. Has anyone actually contacted Patrol Store to find out if they have sold out of them?

I have PM'd LV to ask if he has any info. Failing that I will get onto PatrolStore.

Please can you PM me if you are interested? It may be the case that PS will only provide more for a bulk order.

Thanks,
Adam

Thanks Adam for bringing this one to my attention ... sorry to say they are sold out and I don't believe that PatrolStore will order any more, they don't sell in huge numbers unfortunately.

I just had a dig through my own little box of ps.com goodies - I have dozens of bloody key rings which nobody wanted  but I don't even have one of these tie pins myself.

ebay perhaps?!

Hey guys,

Excuse the double post, but I have a response from PatrolStore!

They say:

"Hi Adam,

We are looking into badges at the moment. we are just waiting to see if we re-run the style mentioned or produce a new badge.

I will pop you an update as soon as I get more information for you."

Looking good!

EXCELLENT!!!!

WOOT WOOT!!!

And a subtle message to the resident PatrolStore.com account on here - I prefer the current style (the one with the brunswick star) but I'm open to a new design if it's decent (piccies of designs here please?? :D )
