Sorry! Been on detatched duty all last week so with all the commuting and the fact the computers were on a different network I wasn't able to get on here! (Also I wimped out not wanting to put the first thread in the shiny new forum!) Well I am CJ and most Sussex members have PM'd me for my station. Think I shall be brave and start some topics!

I wish you could send me the form, but I wouldn't get accepted - I have recently been released from bankruptcy and according to recruitment, 3 years need to have gone by before I can apply. Unless you know otherwise! I am certainly eager to join, but have to wait unfortunately.:grin: Welcome !

Hey all,
I'm not a special, just an applicant.
Applied in December, already done the medical part (hearing test) and have my PIRT at Lewes HQ 27th April, at least I know the way there!
I'm all the way out near Rye, practically in Kent; so if I get in would probably end up in Rother area somewhere

Howdy all,
I too am form Sussex, Worthing to be precise. I am currently working as a special in TVP while I complete my degree in Policing, but intend to return to Sussex when I submit my application for full time employment.... June 2005 with a bit of luck.

Hiya all. I'm in Sussex but I havent applied yet. need to get myself sorted out first.
is it true that u dont have to do the fitness test for sussex specials????? sounds a bit mad it u ask me. im not complaining tho haha.
isn't it lovely and green in this county?!?!?! lived here all my life (20 years to be precise)
as u might tell from my log in name my name is liz :grin: its all good.
u guys have any info that i might need to know? i've already got the application pack etc.

I'm applying to join the specials, but not here in Sussex, instead I'm going for Dyfed-Powys as fingers crossed I shall be there doing Law at university next year. However following the completion of my degree (which is years away, obviously) I am plaaning on applying full-time, and might well go for Sussex.
Anyway, good to see so many from Sussex on here.

Liz, its true.... there is no fitness test to join the Specials in Sussex at the moment. Get that application form in ! - Horsham is a great station ! - I used to visit it quite a bit when working for a neighbouring force....
As for the morris dancers..... think there were more of them out, than local authority traffic wardens yesterday ! :grin:

Horsham is quite a busy place, it is on my divison so can here all its calls on PR. Much busier than my town!

yeah but even so there is no fitness test..... am not the right physique for police work as of yet which is why i havent applied yet.
they'd reject me as soon as they look at me lol!
horsham's ok, been here all my life so i know it like back of my hand, kinda.
