i notice that B div have already got there airwaves when are they going to make it to the other divisions? anyone know?

Got my airwaves training next month, but I think it will still be a couple of months before its rolled out (C division)

Same thing happened in Derbyshire. It's quite a big job to roll out, train up and check everything is working OK. Doing it a Division at a time means if they do find any problems only one Division at a time should be affected.

I was going to say "don't worry PK, we are friendly in Surrey" but Raych went and spoilt that.
We are currently having our Airwaves training in A division and they go live on the 18th.

Raych, Training for Specials is rolling out over the next couple of months. I know there is some C Division training over the next month, have a word with your Section Officer.
A & B Divisions are going live before C hence the reason why they already have theirs.
I have already done my training and have an Airwave set. Its very nice!! :grin:

OMG DO told us how expensive they are with all the bit and bobs £700plus..... Very cute only disappointing thing if they dont have interchangeable covers so i cant have my fluffly pinky covers and they dont have downloadable ring tones......

no we were told Surrey has purchased the fantasticola option and we have coverage everywhere in the county. There is a cheaper option which i beleive i what TVP have that only works in some towns and not in the old hamlets that some countys have but we dont have that!

Just got the e-mail that we go live next month ! in the Northern and Eastern Divisions, all apart from TPT.

B division goes live 18th of this month. Don't believe TPT are going to be trained until something like September.

yep from what was said last night Borough go live mid May and then TPT go live in DEc although this may be bought forwar depedning on success

As others have said, A division operational 15'th and going live date on 18'th April.. (Whatever operational means!)
The sets are great. I can sit at home in Rickmansworth (M25 - J18) and talk to someone down in Alton. Talk about coverage. And the P2P option is great as well. Obviously all for operational purposes!
And before anyone starts mouthing off that we shouldn't have our radios on at home, we were told to play with them as much as we can before the 18'th ..

Well I have my training on Saturday and I can't wait.
Are TPT being delayed because it will take longer to train them?!

nope according to our trainer its because its easier to role out on borough first and iron out any problems before TPT get here hands on them!
