A suit? But it specifically says 'Smart casual' on the letter.
I'd still go with the suit. I'd much rather be over dressed than under dressed.

I think it's all changed since the last intake but it might just be medical next then vetting. Once vetting is done you'll get your letter through with the dates for training and in it there will be numbers for you to contact to arrange uniform fitting and to get your picture taking for your warrant card. The unfortunate thing is on my intake quite a few people didn't recieve the pack and a few didn't even know about the training until they got a phone call from recruitment on the first day of training telling them they are in and to be at training that day lol

no doubt you will be with me in training
thanks joe for that, the recruitment lady said she will now do vetting checks and my work history, then she will send a letter out confirming my dates
so if i dont recive anything in a few weeks ill give her a quick phone just to see what the story is.
Thanks again Ryan

To me 'smart casual' is dark trousers and shoes and a shirt but no tie, the kind you might wear on a night out. We had this conversation many times in my previous employment. It's the worst when you get it wrong.
Any ideas what to expect on the day? If you do, can you p.m. me?

Like i said i think it's better to be over dressed than under dressed, after all Ryan got on fine wearing his suit

there were a few people wearing suits, although there were a few just wearing shirts and dress trousers
but like joe says it's better to be over dressed than under, and they will notice that youve made more of an effort
i also went in with a folder with my id stuff,my letters incase i needed them, also a notepad just incase, just looks more professional
have you had any word of your assesment yet?
