Airsoft are classed as RIFs so you need a 'good reason' to buy one, such as being a member of a recognised airsoft club, it's only an offence for the retailer to sell, not to own so no you don't need a licence.i thought in this day in age, to be in possession on an air-soft gun you needed a licence? correct me if im wrong.

There seem to be quite regular amnestys for replica weapons in London, alternatively, I think that there is a register for proper airsofters.Aah i see, i presumed you had to have one, that's what i read somewhere. I used to go with the cadets on "just for fun" shootouts. was quite good fun. I still have my weapon somewhere, not really any use to me anymore, problem is getting rid of it into good hands, cant exactly put them up for sale online anymore
