Thanks Rosco, I'm really looking forward starting the training and certainly plan to get the most from it. I don't fancy getting out on the street only to be unsure of what I'm supposed to be doing. The last 6 months of the requirement have flown past so I'm sure the fun bit will go even faster.

Yep passed it with no problems! Did it with a few pcso's who are due to start training. Guess it looks like I'll be on the June intake.

I am quite new here, but have read loads of helpful advice and information. I sent my application form yesterday to become a Special in Wiltshire. I am now at the 'patiently waiting' stage hoping I will be successful.

I sent off my application on the 19th of February and I have just received a letter through the post inviting me to the next stage. The letter was dated the 14th of March.

I called up the recruitment department, the got my application on the 13th and they are just short listing people now, so.. Hopefully I make it. Already I have started doing doing 2 miles twice a week and weight training. Mashed to get the special constable training program online, so trading up on that and I have done a few PIRT test papers.
