On another note, am I the only one that thinks that most hi-vis jackets on the market don't have enough reflective material?

one tip is probably to get tyres with an "armour" as they will be i assume more susceptible to punctures without the added thickness of treads

someone else on here uses it, and it is very bright!
also corbs, with your rack on the bike what do you do about a rear light? my only option is to belt clip mine to the net on the back.
the QR ones dont have the standard bolt hole to affix one.

At the moment I have a bar light ziptied to the bottom of the rack. But when I get my bag I want a bit more visibility so I'll get a clippy on one. I haven't really looked for a bolt hole though so I might have one. Off the top of my head I think that my rack is a delta.Blackburn Mars 3.0

Yep. I mucked up an old reflector to get my bolt. It normally incurs the other item being put out of action. Sadly with torches this means lots of mediocre torches, but it's good with bikes.oh! right, thats like the time i used a reflector mount to make a bar-mount for a digi cam.

cant stand the silly things taking up room i dont need.
was thinking of adding a fenix L2D to the collection but to be honest, dont think will bother with one as a front light.

anyways less zzzzzzzzz's
lets get the cycle-ness away from hi-vis, fenix, and my flash is better than your flash, a-thankyou-perlease!
tonight, was a lovely mild night, t-shirt warm to people in the North.
so in my opinion nights and days of mildness are on the way.
and the spring, spring is tightly coiled and ready to go boing.
the summer cyclist emerges from his, kebab stained, beer can shell.
once again, the gentle whisper of a tyre been pumped up and the smell of WD40 in the morning adorns many a garage, back yard and doorway throughout the country.
the wood and trails centres become filled with families and the have a go dad making little john fly down the black grade,
as the Sunday cyclist, googles the nearest pub lunch., the power ranger clad roadie plans out his hundred miler.
i love the light nights.
im planning on this ride to work thing, its going to be pain, torture for the first few weeks i bet, but i need to have the power to stick on it, to get up that 30 mins earlier. to plan my route. and neatly pack my uniform.
i then need to pump out 8-13 hours of work, and make it home. soon to be still in the light. with the aroma of many a BBQ on the path home.
all that and im about £70 a month taxi and bus card better off.
anyone else dusting off the clips soon if you don't often mount the metal steed?
