Are you mad? They'd both break within an hour of leaving the dealers!

200bhp
All the options except Sat Nav (I've got TomTom for that)
Race Blue

Like Tilly, I can't really say how fast I've been in a car! Over 155 on a private track mind.

143mph

Down the A19.

In a Traffic Car ofcourse :)

Volvo V70 T5.

Was brilliant.
didn't even feel like it was trying.
I thought the engine would be screaming, but it wasn't.

Are you mad? They'd both break within an hour of leaving the dealers!

True.

But, just having the pleasure of owning and driving the cars makes it worthwhile.

According to Top Gear, you can't be a true petrol head untill you've owned and Alfa.

I'd probably be dead within 4 hours of driving a TVR.

Just had to put 2 new front tyres on me car the other day.

Because of the way I drive probably.

Cost £201.

Got some dunlops put on.
I wanted some "Goodyear Eagle F1 gsd3's"

But they didn't have any in stock.

Fault on my part as well.
had to go to kwik fit, because no where else was open in the time I had free. :)

These are the ones I wanted.

Current Car is a Subaru Impreza WRX Blob Eye (MY04), plenty of power

Next car I think will be a Audi S4 or BMW M5.

Unfortunately it atracts the wrong attention. I have been followed a number of times in it by possible thieves checking out where I live. It is a beast to insure and fuel consumption...well!

That said though it is the best car I have driven and great fun (yes even better than a 355!)

Surley, You could just put your right toe down, and they'll be a tiny dot in your mirror?
Thats all i'd do.

Whats your MPG?

I get around 20MPG. could push it to 23MPG if I drive like a grandmother.

I refuse to say on a site full of coppers, but suffice to say fast enough to get caught (a few times), fast enough to end up in court (a few times) but I am cheeky enough to have never lost my licence

You would break the speed limit?

If i was being chased / followed by a a couple of people in a car, the i'd think about it....

Duress n all that...

EDIT: I'd probably try n loose them in some twisty streets, and if that fails then phone it in.
But I wouldn't automatically speed away.

I was told the GS D3 were discontinued, the Asymetrical is the new one, could have been a ploy to get me to buy some more Proxes T1-Rs, which are excellent BTW, just don't do a lot of mileage, they don't last long.

I managed to very nearly top out the speedo on my car... WITHOUT breaking the speed limit

PS £200 for a pair of tyres aint too bad, my mate's M Sport BMW tyres are £275 each :)

I wouldn't say I'm an enthusiast but I do like cars, I used to be really into it but got sick of the wasted money, idiots associated for and against etc...

I sort of like to drive (and ride for that matter) pretty much anything, but I do circa 30 000miles a year which kind of kills youre enthusiasm.

My current car is a 53 Reg 2.2 DTi Vectra Elite. One of the ones made in russelheime (spelt incorrectly I'm sure). Have been heavily into my micras since I passed my test (www.micra.org.uk), and have been pretty impressed with how nippy, well built and frugal they are. I've owned sporty big cars (celica powered carina), rural small cars (205 1.8D, 2CV6 Special) and what feels like everything in between (mk3 Jetta, vectra, various Mk1 (k10) and Mk2 (k11) micras, nissan sunny (B11 coupe) and a mid nineties corolla).

I want something impractical next, something sporty, something where people will jealously shout "I bet you've got a small willy" at me as I drive past. I've had long enough in a car where people lean in looking for the child seats or carpet samples.

Pete
