Not something I've heard of in an official capacity before - there's the odd games of football/cricket that are organised by officers and plastered all over the stations but I wasn't aware there was an official 'sports and social club'. There's gym's that we get use of, but that's all I can think of

Yes, there is a sports club. You have to be a member to use the gym at force HQ. If you're using the gym at force HQ and you're not a member.........then you'd better not get caught. I'm on rest days now but I'm back at work on Sunday. I'll try and find out some more details for you then. It's not expensive to join, in fact its very cheap. Once you're a member, you have full unrestricted access to the gym, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I'll check when I'm back at work.

The Lincoln sports and social club was as it said, a socila club, the bar was where the CMU is now, and sports club, whereby the club, funded by subs and profits from bar sales, would subsedise sporting events, fishing, football, cricket etc. Sadly due to the lack of space in the police station it was closed for office space
