Hi all,

Thought I had better introduce myself, since I have been reading and watching all of your posts for so long now, thought it was about time I spoke.

I'm Adam, and yes I work at Bacup in the mighty valley, been there just short of 3 years now. Si knows who I am anyway, I used to do quite a lot of shifts, but now that I work shifts for my normal job its sometimes hard to parade on. I try to go on duty when I can though.

Anyway I'm sure I have met some of you on various courses from time to time.

My advice to anyway joining "the valley team" is its a great place to work and learn, and there are some excellent officers to learn from.

Amy form Tod - I'm sure Si will be happy to take you out, if you want my opinion of him, he's a good officer and I'm sure you can learn a lot form him. No Si didn't pay me, I just think that. lol.

As for myself, I'm still learning even after 3 years! lol

Oh well once again Hi to everyone on the forum, hope your all good!

Kind regards

Adam
SCinthe valley

I will happily back up what Adam said about me being very good... Erm, I meant about the level of support that you get in the Valley. It is easily the best place to be a special in Pennine .

Morris Dancers that dance from end of bacup to the other on the Saturday of the easter weekend. It is traditionally a bunch of miners, hence the black face paint, but not just a bunch of folks from Bacup.

So a quick question about initial training for Regs. How long have they done it in Rawtenstall?

Oh and a friend of mine is starting there tomorrow, so you better be nice to her and give a good impression of us folk from the valley!
