A regular colleague of mine recently lost his warrant card. It fell out of his pocket. He got a leather holder so that it would make a noise if it fell out again.
Secondly I was doing some plain clothes work and had to show mine to a MOP, and even though i have a holder he still didn't believe me and took a swing at me!

The onus is upon him, so it doesn't matter whether or not he believes you - as soon as you have presented your warrant card you are acting in the execution of your duty.Secondly I was doing some plain clothes work and had to show mine to a MOP, and even though i have a holder he still didn't believe me and took a swing at me!
Assault then becomes Assault PC.

It is possible to buy them, however they are not the officially issued 'jeeves' type, but a different style, which I found not much good because they don't have room for other credit cards in them. The other thing about them is that they were designed for when the warrant card was 'landscape', but now they have gone to 'portrait' so they look a bit odd.
If anyone wants contact details of the officer who sells them, please let me know by pm.

Lincolnshire Warrant card holders are only supplied to officers who work in plain clothes. This can be for those who work occasionally on pro-active work, but it has to be approved by your manager.
