They are very nice with a few fresh vegetables and a baked potato. Gas mark 10 for 20 minutes should do it. Not really a full meal but ideal as a snack.

Ahh see I tend to do them for 15 mins... I prefer the meat to be a bit pink on the inside

I had gerbils when I was younger and they were great - I'd definately get some for my kids if I had any, but would secretly be getting them for myself just as much as for the kids.

You are both sick, how could you talk about putting a hamster in the oven?

Deep fry them, or BBQ at least!

THe ones I used to have when I was little lived forever, they never died. When they got older they used to go and live in the country on a special farm with lots of other hamsters and be very happy with lots of nice treats and big warm beds. Lucky things!

What are you implying? I don't know about yours but my hamster did go and live on a farm.

As did my dog, but he went after he lost the use of his legs, amazingly the fresh air helped him to run again!

OK seriously though. Hamsters make lovely pets, provided they are handled regularly they won't bite and they're friendly, cuddly and cute. The only disadvantage is that they're nocturnal, i.e. they sleep during the day. If they're in a bedroom at night you'll find they can make an awful noise, especially if their exercise wheel squeaks!

:iagree:the wheel is a nightmare at night,if it does not squeak at first it will given time
