Hi. Have you got a confirmed date for your assessment? Hope you are still training hard.
I never asked before how long have you been a special in humberside.
If you are successful have you any preference where you would like to be posted.

I am a South Yorkshire Special Constable. Just come back from visiting Gretna ( yes did renew wedding vows) got talking to the locals and apparently there is alot of drug users around the stewart working mans club. In know its not far from the police station in gretna. Anyway good luck for the futureYes - got confirmed date (judgement day
) - 23rd May. So Im trying to revise, after all the waiting I hardly have any time now! and still trying to get more hours fitness in too as I know the fitness test is not easy and if I pass on the 23rd, I will have the fitness to look forward to next!
So I will be up soon - quick visit to see my mum, then back to Dumfries for the 23rd. Im looking forward to it in a sick kind of wayJust hope I prepare for the type of things they are going to expect me to know.
I'm hoping to get posted towards the Eastern side of D&G, anywhere around Dumfries/Lockerbie/Thornhill/Gretna kind of way would be good - although I will go anywhere they want to put me to be honest! I will just be that relieved to land my dream job in the area I want to be in.
(I joined Humberside in August 2005, been operational since December - love it, but being a special is difficult re: giving up your spare time, but giving me a great insight into the job and builds confidence no end)

Yeah. Just passing some info on thats all. Had a fantastic time in Gretna, and I thought the football team did really well. Hubby said that had they been playing the Saturday we were there, he would have gone to the match.Hi. hope you had a good time while in Gretna.
Unfortunatley the drug problem in small towns like Gretna and surrounding towns is more obvious given the population size of these towns.
This I presume is consistant of all towns where the population is small.

My two boys must only the only English kids with a Scottish Football Teams football..... I could move to Gretna permantley the scenery is perfect. What a choice of games; Liverpool V Spurs or Gretna v Hearts.
It was brill and (wee bit of a pain) trying to watch 2 great games at the same time.
