So tell me Northern SCs, you get a call to a fight near the summit of big Ben Nevis, would you walk up to deal?!

Hmm, and I thought the Grampian forum was bad...

...oh my goodness, what's that...?

**Shuts door quietly. Disappears back over the border to Grampian**

Come on Northern SCs, I'd like an answer to that!

It is quite quiet in here! But it's probably due to the force sizes. I've just checked all the Scottish areas, and there are some posts from September never replied to. :w00t: I intend to keep an eye on them from time to time, as it gives a bad view of PS.com if that happens.

Strathclyde is quite good, although I think it was a lot busier previously. A few regulars disappeared soon after I joined. :blu:

I think that is a good idea. I'll help you out by trying to respond as best I can and point them in the right direction. I was thinking that maybe they could be encouraged to send PMs to members of the force they're interested in, that way those people might receive an e-mail notification that will encourage them to come back too. What do you think?

Thanks. Strathclyde and L&B are covered I think and you have Grampian.

So that's Tayside, Northern, D&G, Fife and Central. I know there are active members from some of those.

That's an idea, but would we have to get their permission first?

There are Northern folkies who read the forum, because I've had some queries answered, but they just seem shy at coming forward or starting a new thread etc.
I would have though with the remoteness of the area that Specials would use this site more often because it is a good way of keeping in touch and informed, but drastically underused.
I can go for weeks without seeing another special...

Well, according to your force website there are about 200 of you!

You'll just have to spread the word! Where are you based if you don't mind me asking? Due to the remoteness of areas do you lot more often police the area where you live? In Strathclyde you would always work somewhere different from where you live.

Right, time to sort this out!
I used to be a regular viewer\ocassional poster on here, but due to various personal and work circumstances ended up going off and doing other things. I am, however, still trying to do regular shifts out of Burnett Road in Inverness, so am still fairly active as a Northern Special.
Now that I'm back on here, I'll be getting in touch with the folk I know in Inverness to encourage greater use of the forum here. My plan is also to try to get HR at HQ here to pass on details to other area commands.

Its good to see a few unfamiliar names on the forum, also , if you Inverness folkies can pass on any news through the forum, especially for us outlying folkies it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

The wind blowing the gorse looks about right for that stretch of road especially today.
