there are quite definitely some very weird things going on in this world, and it would be foolish to claim that we knew what all of them were.

Fair comment Matt, but then someone from 200 years ago would have said the same about things which today are in every schoolkid's textbooks as known scientific fact.
There are a lot of things we don't understand - yet - but I don't think it proves that these are necessarily of an alien origin.

What I do take with a pinch of salt is the sightings that are reported in the press and contain the lines " after enjoying a night out drinking with friends...."

Likewise, why do they always choose to appear to people who are in the middle of nowhere and (forgive me) have low intelligence and plausibility levels? Why not trot out the old line "take me to your leader" or make some meaningful public appearance?

And yes, I am a professional sceptic!

The people who have been 'abducted' by aliens usually seem to be depriving a village of an idiot.

UFO Physics

Perhaps the oddest features of UFO's are their incredible abilities when it comes to aerial manouvers. They have been witnessed to have been able to fly around - both vertically and horizontally with very little effort, even though they don't appear to have any means of propulsion. They have also been seen to vanish completely in the blink of an eye with absolutely no trace whatsoever. Although by now it seems obvious that UFO's do exist, the main question is no longer "are they real" - but "what are they ?"

I would strongly recommend anyone to read a book by Nick Cook who is a journalist and writer for Jane's Defence Weekly (THE resource for aerospace and aeronautics information). The book is called "The Hunt For Zero Point" and is about the investigation into "electro gravitic experiments" (popularly known as anti-gravity) conducted by the Nazi's during WWII and then in experiments conducted by USAF and others using the plundered Nazi technologies and specialists.

It's a fascinating read, and funnily enough, not long after this book was written, confirmation came from Boeing that they were in fact engaged in anti-gravity experiments along the lines which Cook was suggesting and investigating.

I have it as an e-book in PDF format if anyone is interested...

Well if the black triangles are Auroras, they're not very good at spying because they've been moving really slowly and quite a few people have seen them. The general consensus I was aware of was that they were something else.

Aurora's are the worst kept secret of the lot - the reason being that when flown during the day they make a disctinly "pulsed" contrail in the sky - test flights for years have therefore been conducted at night near Groom Lake.

Here's the eyewitness account of the sighting over the north sea oil rig Black Triangle!
