Hi guys,

In October I start as a Special and I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about any possible future Regs recruitment internally?

I am really keen to join up!

As we're in the leicestershire force area I'll assume that's the force we're discussing. In terms of regs recruitment they are in the process of recruiting internally at the moment, though you have missed out on that as the deadline for the paper sift was the 28th of June.

Regs recruitment is likely to happen again at some point in late 2013 and when it does it is likely to be internal. I'm sorry you missed out in this case. However I hope you really enjoy being a special, I'm applying to the regs at the moment and have just passed the paper sift, but I've been a special for two years.

If you start training in October I'll likely see you on the assessment days towards the end of the year. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions about the process.

I really want to get my head down and get the training done so I'm not too concerned that I missed out. Hopefully after doing Specials for a while I will be more informed to make the very best application I can. Good luck with your application!

Same here. I got a bunch of forms from recruitment department to fill out, but they also said that I may be on the October or November intake. Even sent me a course programme for each intake, saying whats going to happen during each lesson Still got to do my medical assessment though.
