HAH HAH HAH.On the plus side, hopefully the Armed services will get a bonus from G4S having just watched the Home Affairs interview the boss of G4S.
What sort of dream worlds do you both inhabit?! My personal belief is that May will spin her way out of it somehow and the Chief Executive of G4S will will still get a bonus whether he resigns or not. That's if they don't sack thousands of regular staff to make up any shortfall on this what is a cockup of monumental proportions.
Fair assumption?

Maybe the'll get given a fiver in with their P45... Should cover the bus fare to the job centre at least.On the plus side, hopefully the Armed services will get a bonus from G4S having just watched the Home Affairs interview the boss of G4S. They (Armed Services) shouldn't have been in that position in the first place but they are now and hopefully will get some recompense.

Some of those soldiers that have been just made redundant and not had the leave with their families that they are owed will now have to to sleep in a tent on the streets of London.
Seriously, there are no 'plus' sides here, this is a disaster of Olympic proportion, don't attempt to spin it into a positive aspect.

Just breaking on Sky: The military are apparently to confirm that they are to supply an additional 2000 personnel to cover G4S (on top of the 3,500 already confirmed)

Enjoyed watching the select committee yesterday where Mr Buckes said he regretted ever taking the contract.
Also interesting to note that when the original contract was signed, the plan was for using a 'just in time' methodology, which included selecting and training all staff from January 2012! So they didn't even plan to start arranging staff before the start of this year.
The contract numbers went up 4 times, from 2,000, to 4,500, to 7,000 to 10,000. Each time it went up someone from G4S had to sign a new contract to say they could provide the numbers. These people should be brought to account as well.
Oh, and I can tell you from a first hand perspective that the squaddies are hugely miserable inside the Olympic Park! (not that I blame them for that, it's totally understandable!) and that this actually detracts from the experience of being there, as you are met with miserable faces at each security check point!!
