I got 2 letters today, 1 was about my physical that happens in the next 2 weeks, which is exciting, but makes me a little anxious. The other letter said that my vetting was going to start shortly and will be completed in 6 weeks (following my completion of a questionnaire to the FCO).
That seems very quick, and I didn't think it started until fitness and medical have been passed!?
Any advice before going to the fitness test?
2 letters came in the post today

Fitness test shouldn't be too difficult as long as you exercise frequently, 5.4 for the beep test and 34/35kg for push/pull.
I started a running regime a few weeks before the fitness test, did a few runs over short distances to just test my overall fitness, and obtained a copy of the bleep test and attempted it unofficially.
Push-ups and sit ups are really worth doing as well if you dont already do so, I was doing 20 of each per day and I think it certainly helped!
Best of luck with it.

I believe for GMP, vetting starts before the medical but after the fitness test (providing you send the vetting forms back!)
Instead of repeating what Han Solo said, i'll just say: Good luck!
