Hola :new_shades:

I am not really sure were to start :new_hmmm:, okay I applied to be a PCSO with BTP in last intake they had and passed paper-shift, A/C, Medical, Reference checks and Vetting. Got uniform measured and everything was going to plan for me to start on 31st July :new_yes: .

BUT (DOOM, DOOM, DOOOOM)

When I had my uniform measured the lovely lady that deals with PCSO applications told me that if i wanted there might be a possibility for me to stay in Sheffield :new_crazy: as they have posts coming up in September in take  :aok: . So i was playing the waiting game for her to get back to me and she did with the good that I will be based in Sheffield. :luv: However I will start on 24th September :new_cry: (long summer ahead got nothing planned).

So after all that my question is does anyone on this forum work or based in Sheffield or South Yorkshire ? What's it like ? I know for fact its less busy than London as I went and did some research and its blood quiet in Sheffield Train station . What a do you get up to on average day ?

Thanks for feedback

Sorry about bad spelling/Grammar

P.S. if there is anyone who is currently working in SY please make yourself known by dropping me a PM loads stuff I want to ask

If it is anything like Lancaster, you will be doing a lot of investigative work and proactive work within the community as opposed to flying around from job to job. Taking statements, summoning people to court for ticket irregularities, etc. One of the nice things about the BTP is that you frequently get to talk to nice and normal members of the public, as opposed to home office forces where you simply don't have time and 90% of the people you talk to are criminals or drunks.
