Personally, I think that even at it's most basic level it's a very useful tool - if only for recording your duties and activities, it's nice to be able to see at a glance what you've done over the last month or two. I think it'll come into it's own the more it's used, eventually replacing the outdated and error-prone Ringmaster system (some got messages multiple times, others never got contacted at all!)
For those that don't know what I'm talking about, you can find out more here.

I think my colleague summed it up best this week, by simply saying "I like this, it's really easy to use" - this from a 50-something fella who's been a Special for 20+ years and grumbles whenever a computer's involved in any task whatsoever...It gets addictive, don't stay on it too long
Obviously being an A&S system we use it here and it's quite good, Calendar is very useful! Overall it's a nice system

Nice of them to tell us it's up and running!!!
first I've heard
That is because it is not up and running yet, it's just a pilot trial, being carried out in Poole.
I did offer to trial it in Eastern having been in discussion with the main developer over a year ago about it's functional overlap and the interface required to our FWS that would need development if it was to be used as proposed.
But as already stated like all good plans they wanted people not involved to test it and Eastern was already pushing the boundaries.

As I've said, it's up and running in Poole - we are using it, and it's working well. I look forward to it being opened up to one and all.

If you find any issues like this when using the tool then please forward them to VST with a full explanation of all the steps you took such that the problem can be replicated.

It's a piece of cake, Derf... you'll pick it up no problem.Nice of them to arrange training on it on very limited weekday evenings that would for most involve travelling, then over emphasise that it's 'mandatory'!
As for the 'mandatory' label that seems to be applied to everything these days, I had a word at our last section meeting about that - it seems some things are less mandatory than others!

The main issue that is plaguing me is that when you set up an event and add somebody who is not under your chain of command to that event, it does not appear on their calendar, although it does appear in their list of events that have volunteered for.
This seems to have now been fixed.

Is there anyway to set it up so I only get emails that are relevant to events at my station? When they added the training for this month I got nine emails, only one was relevant for me. At the moment I've just turned them all off as its a bit annoying.
