To learn about the police, gain expedience and I thought It would help me join the force.

It has had a massive impact on my life, I now have in interest in politics that I would have never got into, I now like to stay fit since my first summer camp where I was struggling to do the PT. I have done things most my age will never. Cadets has changed my life for the better, and I have no idea who the person I would be without it. I wish I could see myself in a parallel universe :p

Hola, I am ex SYP police cadet from 2010-12 and just finished. The whole experience was just amazing I worked with PCSO's,PC's and Specials and its really given me a reality check of how the police work. I have had loads experiences i had to deal with drunk lady, lost child and did a lot of crime prevention operations. Most of our work was based on that of PCSO's most time we would be out on streets working with SNT's. I joined because i thought it would give me a reality check and the foundations to become PC/PCSO/SC and I have know applied to BTP as PCSO and passed A/C, medical and just waiting for uniform fitting etc. I used loads examples from my cadet experiences. BY MILES IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND MEET SOME AMAZING PEOPLE ! :new_shades:

I joined in 2008 and left in 2011. I had an awesome time doing duties, learning, training, rising from a cadet to senior cadet. I now have applied to be a PCSO and so far.. it seems to be going well however no replies yet which is good! Hopefully I may end up being a Staff member at cadets.

I joined because i've always been interested in the police since I was about 12, at first I wanted to be a fireman :p Anyway my dad convinced be to join and it was the best choice I ever made.

Well, I fairly new although at the higher age range. I believe it will help me gain an insight into the police service. Gain knowledge which will assist me in my chosen career and experience. I hopefully will be a Cadet until the day I receive another issued uniform in its place. I have to admit that I wish I joined when I was younger, but you cant change that past, only the present and I am more than happy with my choice. It can only get more fun right?
