Hi all, just wondering does anyone know if your GP has to sign the medical form? The email did say to jus fill in pages 1-6 and to not go to your GP at this stage. It's jus I know my GP charged my friend £75 just for a signature!?

Nope you don't need to go to your GP, the nurse will determine during the medical if they need your GP's input. For example if you had diabetes they would ask to get the specific details, but if you have no problems the GP wont be needed.

Thanks Jon. Also does anyone know when the vetting procedure starts. I passed my interview on Thursday. And how long does it usually take. I have my medical 5th July so do you reckon my vetting will be done by then?

It was done in 5 weeks for me so yours may be done around the time of your medical. However everyone is different, some can take longer than others for various reasons.

Just to confirm, no requirement for a GP's signature. Your vetting will commence once they've received your vetting papers/passed interview. From the new ones we have coming through they're saying between 4-6 weeks.
