How do we get on to it?
Yammer.com. You'll need access to your .pnn.police.uk email account to verify the account, but it's as simple as that.

It's a good idea but not enought happens so far, great work to whoever introduced it, I sincerely hope it takes off!
Hopefully if enough of us from here contribute, it will snowball and hit critical mass, but until then we need to make an effort to add content.
On that note, there is an interesting bit on statement writing on Yammer. Take a look!

It works at work, and the mobile app works but I've struggled to make the bloody thing work outside of work.
Even having reset my password using the mobile app and then putting that in the desktop app is not working...

Has anyone managed to get it to work at home using the desktop app or the website ?

I just go to the website, haven't bothered with the apps. The website is the same at the station to home or work.

I contribute to Yammer fairly frequently, but not enough people are using it to make it an effective messaging system. We need more HantsPol Officers on there to make it useful.
Indeed, that's why early adopters such as us need to get other people to use it. Then it'll have enough popularity for it to be self sustaining.

There's a discussion just starting up on there about how to encourage and keep more users....Indeed, that's why early adopters such as us need to get other people to use it. Then it'll have enough popularity for it to be self sustaining.

When I do it at home it tells me my password or userid is incorrect.
Its the same password as I use for virtually everything in the world, and it was what I set it to 8 hours ago, so I don't think I've forgotten it.
