Uploading Images not working?

I'm probably doing something wrong, but when I try to upload a user bar to the userbar gallery, the image shows the old inaccessible red cross and empty space. I've tried it several times with a .gif and .png and always seem to get the same results. Am I doing something wrong or is this related to the recent images fix ?

Might be a permissions problem... watch this space I'll take a look.

Yup all working thanks.
When editing signatures which are over 5 lines in length you get a windows authentication password popup. It's not doing anything bad, just hiding the real error i.e. max 5 lines.
