Hey guys,

What sort of thing should I wear for OPST tomorrow? The letter says no shorts which leaves me with little other options.

Any quick replies would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in a different Force, but surely they mean tracksuit bottoms/joggers?

More importantly, why no shorts? I wore a fancy pair of short shorts for my 2nd day of OST, and another lad had the shortist pair of rugby short shorts on I've ever seen - made my eyes water a bit.

I have no idea. I'm going to wear a pair of lightweight hiking trousers I think, or my trakkies, but I was just a bit confused by what they wanted/didn'twant us to wear. I mean, what's wrong with shorts?

I wore trackies and a t-shirt mate, however I'm sure there were people on the course in shorts...

I've got my refresher in a couple of weeks... :new_shades:

Yeah - trakies or joggers - looks like a chav convention in the hall anyway - so don't worry about it.

The no shorts things is due to using leg straps and other things that strap around your legs - unless you're a fan of your legs getting bitten into by nylon and velcro i'd suggest you wear trousers...

Plus - if you wear shorts, when they do the search training it sort of limits the places you can secrete things on yourself ;)
