I postponed my application after passing PIRT in 2009 because I was having too much fun in my first year of Uni. After Christmas I got back in touch and was asked to come in for an interview shortly afterwards. Training began at the end of February 2010.

I cannot tell what the training is like now, I think it's changed a bit in the short space of time since I did it. But mine was very relaxed really which is understandable as trainers come in at the weekend and probably don't want a full on program of lectures etc. It's mainly class based with a small amount of role play and 4 tonnes of handouts, 'knowledge checks' and other bits of tat. You're all in the same boat and unless there are any ex-magistrates on the intake, everyone knows the same level of sod all.
