Traffic wardens are known for their relentless pursuit when it comes to catching those who break the law. But this Vietnamese officer went beyond the call the duty when he risked his life by clinging onto the front of a moving bus for nearly a mile to give a driver a ticket. Lieutenant Nguyen Manh Phan ordered Phung Hong Phuong to pull over the 39-seat passenger coach for driving on the wrong side of the road, in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Monday. After the 37-year-old refused to produce his papers and jumped back on the bus, Phan grabbed the windscreen wipers in an attempt to stall him. But that not stop Phuong speeding off with the warden precariously dangling from the front as oncoming traffic whizzed past.

Footage of the dramatic stunt has been uploaded on YouTube and has already become an internet hit. The driver eventually pulled over and has been arrested and could now be charged with acting against public officials.

According to Thanh Nien newspaper, he confessed that he was once convicted of fatally running over a person in the southern province of Dong Nai, and served a four-year jail term until 2010. Despite cheating death, Phan reportedly followed the correct procedure.

Dont they mean police officers? I cant ever remember seeing a traffic warden donning riot gear or arresting a husband for punching his wife.

Wow!

Correct prodedure ; If offending vechile attempts to leave without a ticket, mount the front of the vehicle and hold for dear life until it stops, alight, then issue with ticket.

The video was like watching a cartoon, it just needed some benny hill music or something...

Seriously, there are some things you don't do, and risking your life to give someone a parking ticket is one of them. But then again im sure he can put on his CV he is fully dedicated!
