A darkly clothed figure comes out off the darkness, pulls back it's cloak and say's -

Everyone will know by Friday either way.

It then lowers it's wide rimmed hat, pulls it's cloak back over its face and slips backwards, back into the dark!"

There is no way near 400 going to the ac. More like 120.

Dont forget there is only 24 jobs!

I posted mine the week of the deadline and I heard first thing monday.

Most people fail at the papersift - weird how they are doing the fitness the day before though!

Might have started at the top of the pile - earlier it was in later it's done - I've passed the PC, PCSO & Specials app forms, so feel OK, unless their after certain grades such as A's or over 80% ones.
I hope they have more than 1 weekend, or that's me out anyway.

Just to add - On the SC's day we did the fitness right after the assessment.

To take 120 from 1300 applications seems a big low tbh

I'm in the same position of having previously applied to all and been successful at papersifts... Doesn't look good in this case though :new_thmbdn2:

I sent my application back the week before the deadline and I've heard nowt, which I take as a sign that I haven't got through. Usually they tell the successful ones first, then deal with the failed ones. However I prefer the idea that we have a date, but not til later on! Would be a real shame to fail the papersift as I have passed the whole PC process before now (but not got in due to cuts) as well as being a PCSO currently and getting other police civvie jobs too. However, how many of you successful bods are SCs currently or live in the locality? I wonder if there's a trend... Even though they never say and should, I have been in the situation where a force has removed me from the process for not living locally... Boo.

I am not a sc anywhere but I do live in Cheshire.

I heard they had 900 apps - 500 external and 400 internal.

Just because you passed the papersift last time does not mean you will again with same answers. It goes on the strength of other candidates answers compared to yours.

Search how many people used same answers but failed!

I've done 4 application forms including this one, none of them have had the same questions on them. This had 2 similar to the last PC one I did, but the wording of the question was different, so same situation ('Cos it got me an A last time) but I wouldn't use the same answer unless the question was identical.

Papersift is usually graded, If I got a B(which would usually pass), but they had enough app's with A's, I wouldn't feel too bad.

Likewise to former Donkey. Questions and format of the competency questions was different from the last time I did the papersift and therefore I didn't use the same answers.
I don't currently live in Cheshire, although I hail from there and previous to becoming a PCSO down south I was a vol for Cheshire Police so I'm not entirely jumping on the recruitment bandwagon. Or actually probably not at all if I have failed as looks increasingly likely!

Well I took the initiative to ring the recruitment line up today! They said that successful applicants will hear something by the end of the week or beginning of next week, so don't be too disheartened yet!

Also this is my first post, So hello! :D I'm a serving SC from West Mercia. Currently doing a BSC Honors in Policing at Wolverhampton Uni!

Aha! I applaud your initiative! I will continue to carry around both my personal and work mobiles then. Hello by the way and I agree with former Donkey, for a mo I thought the leader of the Third Reich was amongst us... Not good...

I think they may be doing it in alphabetical order of surname...? Meaning I will be at the end of the list! Just a thought...

i'm not sure how they do it, but I'm fairly confident they send them off. They might get 40, put them in a batch and send them off, so on and so on.
