If with lenses/spectacles - 6/36 without lenses/spectacles
Near vision needs to be N6 both eyes together (aided)

Actual Results of eyesight test;

Unaided Right Eye 6/7.5
Aided Right Eye 6/5

Unaided Left Eye 6/7.5
Aided Left Eye 6/5

Binocular Unaided 6/6+
Binocular Aided 6/4

Near Vision tested at 40cms N/5

Thank you very much (in advance)

Seems like you have, but I'm no Optician - Didn't you think to ask there and then?

Best to wait until OHU tell you if they feel you have or not!

By the time I came back from another test (with another person), the Optician was in with another customer!

You'll get another eyesight test at OHU when you go for your medical (or did when I went anyway!)

I wouldn't worry too much Ben. If you just go via opticians test results I should have failed at OHU because I have a squint and do not have binocular vision, therefore other tests were conducted because I could not do the 3D parts of the test.

A squint is certainly not a disability though when I'm on duty as I can cover more than one suspect at a time when they are standing in front of me.

I often get asked "Are you looking at me?" and I always say "yes". :)

Just for reference, my eyes were ok :) Although, I may switch to contacts.

So, that's Assessment, Medical and Fitness passed. Fingers crossed for vetting and a late July intake date!

Great news mate, at least a huge chunk of the process is out of the way now.

I tend to wear contacts when on duty, do find they start to annoy when on nights, so only pop them in before I go in. Spare specs in the kit

Nice work on passing everything.

Yep, that's what I would do. I'm guessing not having the specs on makes things a little easier!

It does only downside is if there is any PAVA exposure lenses are a problem hence the spare specs.

I thought I recognised the pointy finger :) I should have come and said hi. But, I was gobsmacked at the lack of carnival at the carnival. It gets worse by the year. A sign of the times no doubt. Oh well. As I left, I noticed a few blues and twos coming and going!

"The pointy finger" is not as big as my face really! :D
Should have said Hi, its always good to put faces to names. I did hear the odd comment about the carnival, especially as we were told there is usually about 8,000 in attendance.....2,000 tops I would have thought.
