Can anyone confirm that the CNC training for 2012 includes a fitness assessment of running in full kit, which I believe weighs around 3 stone? Thanks Buddies! 'H'

I'm sure MaidinWales was referring to the 16 weeks training course and the run that you have to pass during this, not the pre-training assessment process, but I could be wrong.

Hi cnc pete,

BrianM is right, I was referring to the training course, which I was told by HR at their open day in Thurso near the Dounreay site, is actually 17 weeks not 16, so theres an extra week of graft! I know there's a lot of changes going on at the mo recruitment wise, as in, they want everything done in one hit at the assessment centre except the medical, which comes after. I've also heard that the CNC are to become more of a paramilitary organisation rather than a policing unit, heard anything like that?

Regards

As cnc Pete says just gym kit, but you will do a few 4 mile ish runs. No kit though.
