Hello all,

I passed my fitness test on the 2nd April, and will be starting my training on the 12th of May.

Recruitment have told me that the week of training (12th - 20th May) will be pretty much 9 - 5, and as I am a fair distance from Six Hills/ WGC I will probably stay up in the area for the week.

I just wondered if anyone else has done similar, and/or can any one recommend any good places to stay that sit between the two main sites or nearby?

Not too expensive would be nice too!

Thanks

Cheapest I could find is Premier Inn but that worked out at over £300 for the number of nights you are staying. How far are you having to travel?

I know that the chain hotels are sometimes open to negotiation on price, maybe you could sweet talk them into doing you a deal

Hi Rocket,
Im just over an hour away, but will have to take the A12, M25 and A1(M) every day, at the busiest time. I think if i can afford it I would rather be closer and not have to worry about getting stuck in one of the many queues!

Will look into Abacus, thanks for the heads up.

I know a place that used to be a b&b but is now a pub. He lets the rooms out cheap but it is no frills what-so-ever (apart from it now being a Chinese restaurant).

PM me if you want the details.

I work in the local theatre, and we have a "Digs List" for incoming companies to stay... they are basically rooms to rent in someones house... Most start at £10-15 up to £30ish a night... if your interested let me know and i can ask if they dont mind having their details passed onto you!

Would mean you were in the same town and probably no more than 5-10 mins away from the stevenage training!
