Today see's the final shift of Cambs AOU.

Forgive the intrusion into Camb's patch by an Essex officer, but I've worked a lot with the crews from Wyton over the last two years and to see them finally go is a sad day indeed. Its true that its limped along over the last 6 months or so as the officers there looked at new career options, therefore forcing a reduction in the hours they were available, but I've always found them to be a good bunch of officers who will be missed from the Air Ops community.
Try and make the most of them being around during the day tomorrow as after that its going to be long transit times from Wattisham (Suffolk) or Boreham (Essex)!

Nice to see the pilots are going to NPAS in October, but what about the observers and support staff? Does anyone know what is happening to them?
*I think that's right, correct me If I'm wrong!

The observers have been redeployed to other roles within force.
They didn't have any support staff as the maintenance is carried out at ECPM at Wattisham, Suffolk
