Hey guys I was just wondering what is involved with attestation in Nottinghamshire police? I know there are a couple of users that are attesting this week so input would be great.

Are you able to bring people in with you? Take photos? Etc Etc???

When I did mine there was an official photographer and the images were given (for free) on CD - they might upload them now to a special website which you'll be given a username/password for so you can download them.

As far as i'm aware you should be able to bring a few family members along, so long as you dont have 11 brothers/sisters, 20 aunts and uncles or grandparents you'll should be ok.

The 'family circle' biscuits dont stretch very far though so make sure you dont get carried away chatting or they'll be gone

Essentially for Notts its all about practice:

- You go to 'the venue' practice drinking 'tea' (for when you're really policing)
- Wait around for what seems like an age
- Go in to the room and its all over before you know it
- Pat everyone on the back then go home!

In all seriousness a few family members come along you have some tea, go in, listen to a speech or three, everyone says their bit, then everyone stands around for a chat then goes their separate way. They'll be plenty of people there should you have any qn's just ask.

Ha ha ha ha! Noooo.. An age ago. We used to get a buffet provided for our training, you dont get that anymore!

I agree with the description above. Tea is integral to policing.
