Hi Matt,

If you have joined Northants and already know when you are going to be attested then what would be the purpose of an observer shift with Warwickshire? You won't have to wait long until you will be able to do more than just observe.

Have you started your initial training yet? If not then I would suggest getting your head stuck in to a Blackstones manual or opsi.gov.uk learning some of the law surrounding volume crime offences as this will give you a head start when you do begin your training.

I did just have a thought whether Northants would allow you to do an oberver shift with another force now that you have been accepted in to their ranks.

best of luck and hope you enjoy your new career!

Unlikley as they would say whats the point as youve already chosen Northants and its not in their interest to support it!
