Got the letter today saying that the interview date is to be confirmed soon.
I'm well chuffed - especially because I thought I'd screwed up when I didn't finish all the table comparison questions. Out of 27, I only managed to do 17, but I know they were all correct because I checked each one twice.
Can't wait for the interview, the first one I've ever looked forward to! lol

I thought I'd proper ruined it on the information comparison test - I only managed to do 17 out of the 27 - but I made sure they were all bang on! The fact finding one had me stumped on a few, but there was at least time to go back and re-assess the information. It was weird that reading the lists of facts in the reverse order seemed to highlight things I'd missed, so on some of those I had to change my answers because "Impossible to tell" changed to "True" or "False" once I'd spotted a key nugget of information on the second pass.
And there was about 4 on the numeracy one that I didn't think I'd have time to work out. Turned out I was right because I skipped them and finished all the rest and when I went back to do the ones I'd skipped I hear "Pencils down!"
How about you?

I think I should have followed your advice and worked through the list backwards, especially since my practice questions weren't flawless!
Really looking forward to getting the interview out of the way. I just want to be training and in uniform already!
What are your reasons for wanting to join the force?
And what are you up to at the moment? Quite chuffed I can speak to someone going through the EXACT same process as myself. Hopefully see you at interview, and then training! *fingers crossed*

If you have any questions I can help with, let me know as it wasn't so long ago I was in the same position as you!

How have you found the training? It must be exciting to be so close to being sworn in! Congrats, it's an awfully long game getting to where you are, a stage that currently I can only dream of!
About how long did you have to wait for each of the recruitment stages? Just to clarify for the billionth time
Look forward to your reply, and have fun training!

Congratulations to the both of you! It's a long process, but as Will said the best bits are still to come
Glad to have some activity in the Norfolk section as well, it's a bit desolate in here at times!!!
If you need any questions answering then I'm happy to help. I asked about a million questions when I first started so I know how it feels!

The training has been great, the trainers all do a brilliant job, but there is lots to take in, it will seem like such a long time but once you start training it flys past and you end up 2 weeks from being sworn in feeling very nervous about your first shift
My recruitment was fairly quick, I got through to the medical in about a month, had to have a second medical as I needed to get glasses for my eye test

Ollie, I'll hopefully see you at interview, hope the other two got through as well! Sounds like we'll be in good hands.

Thanks for the congrats guys! Can't wait to get stuck into training. Haven't done an interview for over 10 years, best brush up on my poker face, and read my personal statement again so I remember what I wrote!

Best advice I can give for the interview is to just be relaxed, be yourself and revise the police core competencies (you may find this link helpful).
Remember that they aren't there to trip you up... If you prepare well enough then you should be fine!

Sound advice, will try and remember that, along with all the rest of it!
