Hi, I have my uniform fitting tomorrow and was wondering if anyone can help me re what shoes to wear. The letter says to take dress shoes but what are they?! :) People are saying they are just for the ceremony?

I would just take plain black shoes, not high heal.

As said above, plain black shoes with not heel, it's just so you can have your trousers measured correctly for sitting on your boots

And you won't wear them for the oath of office ceremony, you'll wear your boots. Or parade shoes if you have the inclination to buy them yourselves as you won't get issued them, but the majority of people will wear boots having them bulled to perfection
It's only really people who have been in the army cadets, ex forces, etc who already have parade shoes that wear them instead.

you really don't need to buy them! its not a requirement and as i said most people just wear boots for the oath of office! you'd honestly just be wasting your money, its not like your getting issued a tunic (you wont even get issued white shirts) so you'll never wear them! :pc:
