There won't be any more new Specials recruitment until after the Olympics, however I am told from a reliable source a course for transferee Specials may appear between now and then.

Hi I'm thinking of joining the BTP specials in the future. But I've noticed that they mainly recruit for London. I live no where near London, In fact I live in Leicestershire. So would the BTP recruit around my area and outside of London often?
Give it 5 minutes and Policeconstable1 should be along with a recruitment stand and leaflets for all

BTP recruiting for London PC's in March, to start inin August.
Probably not a good idea to mention it here....
HR will now get a shedload of phone calls asking "any exceptions? I've got this qualification... I'm a transferee..." and the headaches it brings with it.
Edited to correct spelling.

It's also off topic.
There's a thread for any internal recruitment, should it actually exist, which I can neither confirm nor deny, in the Rail Cops Only section.

I was merely concerned about the similarities with David and his power user wagon

You just need to keep an eye out on the recruitment page, if your thinking of transferring as a Special, I recommend you try and contact someone at your preferred station and have a chat with them see if you can get out on a observation shift so you get an idea of what its like, if your transferring from WMP then BTP certainly wont be as busy so you need to weigh up what your after wanting to get out of btpdoes anyone have any idea when they might open up for SC transfers in wales and western???

A school of thought might suggest their time would be better spent concentrating on those internal applicants who are actually able to apply for the positions, rather than a shed-load of external hopefuls who will all be told the same thing anyway.

Who would phone up and try to apply for internal vacancies anyway? That's like me working in TESCO and trying to apply for internal vacancies at ASDA.
People try all sorts...
