Does anyone know where I can purchase one of these but at a cheaper price?
http://www.copshopuk...e_2_Fleece.html

They're the same ones that our specialist teams used to get issued and they are very nice (smart and warm)

The wife has an issued one but won't let me use it :p
I don't want it for work, but for normal outdoor use as my current berghaus has seen better days after 4 years and I haven't been able to find a decent replacement for it.

Why does everyone but me seem to get awesome issued kit? :p

Those look quite good, I may be interested in getting one too but I'm not paying 90-odd quid for it.

I'd quite like one of these in Navy, not at £100 though.

Check Ebay. Don't limit yourself to Karrimor SF. If want something for Civvy street but with same Police pedigree, look at 5.11 tactical products for example all made for Police/military market.

As long as its warm enough and has the neck and hem adjustments, it'll do for me (the one I have at work is lovely and warm, but even more used than my Berghaus and slightly larger fit to go over body armour)

If you google polartec windpro jacket then you should get decent results, same material, much lower price.

It might not be your size, but you can't argue with the price:

I don't want a Police one though.

It seems all the polartec ones are quite pricey, so would probably just get the Karrimor one.

The karimoor ones are excellent... I was wearing mine today and it kept me lovely and warm. They zip into the enforcer jacket which is good for when I'm stuck out and about when the weathers pants.. The best bit of kit I've ever been issued, Really good quality.... Pricey though!

I believe that CopShop is the only retailer selling Karrimor Hurricane 2 fleeces. The occaisional one pops up on eBay, but you need to be careful that you are not buying stolen property

Also, Karrimor SF have changed the type of fleece in the new Hurricanes from Polartec to their own fleece.

We get issued a "tornado" fleece with klickfast docks, eppaulet bars and badges. Pretty good fleece in my opinion but would be alot better if it was a softshell!

Go to cotsworld and get a proper outdoor fleece, karrimor are useless now that sports direct own them and have reduced their quality. I wouldn't pay £30 for that, never mind £95!

I would go for the decent brands like mountain hard wear, Lowe alpine, berghaus if your going up fells etc. if its just taking the dog for a walk/popping to the shops then regatta cheap fleeces will easily match the quality and cheap as chips.

I have to be honest, I don't rate our issue Polartec fleeces, they're not warm at all!

Aren't the Karrimor you can buy in Sports Direct and Karrimor SF different though? I'm sure I've heard that said on her before. The SF stuff seems to be rated pretty highly by those who've used it.

They are indeed. Karrimor SF are a separate company and have nothing to do with Sports Direct. Quality kit but at a price. I've got an enforcer jacket and force 4 fleece. The fleece is seriously warm and good quality but surprisingly thin. Great bits of kit.

You think they're paying spammers to boost their karma?

Anyway... :backontopic:
