Hi

Please feel free to let me know if i have posted this in the wrong section. Im kinda new :new_doh2:

I recieved and email yesterday saying i had passed paper sift and invited to attend the assessment centre which is taking place tomorrow, very short notice. I havent been given that much info other than it consists of an I.T literacy test, a verbal and written communications test. No more no less!

Really dont know what to expect, and the nerves are kicking in. Any advice to calm the nerves or what to expect will be much appreciated.

:aok:

Hello, you've posted in the right place! As far as I am aware, each force structures there assessment centre differently, which force have you applied for?

Very short notice though! Good luck with it, I'm sure someone will be along shortly to let you know more about what to expect!

My assessment centre day was primarily focused around teamwork, and there was nothing to taxing. They basically just observed how we worked together to achieve our goal. My advice would be to take a deep breath and try to relax. Also if they give you any instructions to read, READ THEM! Our group was very keen, and misread a number of the tasks. GOOD LUCK!!

Thanks both. I have applied for Gwent police. I guess the short notice is a good thing, just means i dont have enough time to over think things.

Just want to get there now and get started!

Hi :p

I also applied for gwent police and attended the assessments on Sunday 12th in Cwmbran, does anyone know when we should hear our results?

I'm not sure what to think about how I did, don't want to count my chickens but I'm hoping I did enough
