Following on from the police cars thread I thought that I would start a police motorcycle one as well.

Good pics. I saw that VFR on a blue light run, it looked and sounded great, and the rider certainly looked like he was having fun! I would be too on the bends that I saw them too!

Drool, swoon...

I mean wow, nice one MP. I always thought the SEG machines and their whole ethos of less is more was always not just practical and purposeful but pretty damn cool.

That VFR is a stunner and as Corbs says, marked up like that it's awesome.

It's also interesting because I've done a total 180 on the 1200, from oh my god yuck to isnt she a beauty.

I also note they've had drop protectors fitted

Yeah I think it'd have to be white if I owned one.

MetPlod, have you ridden the vfr? How smooth is it comparing the two cylinder to the four (I presume the 1150 is a two like the 1200 is)

Will do

Looking at the warning equipment, wheres the siren? Also are the front facing blues the only visual ones or:-)is there a rear reds dot matrix sign arrangement.

From this angle the extension on the back looks just like a whip antennae.

I think on the back there's a light hidden below the helmet, one of those 360 pancake looking ones.

No sirens are fitted as per their standard MO of using whistles. The rear aspect has reds and blues mounted above the index plate.

Interesting that they're not even fitted though. I might have thought that it would be useful to have them should they need to get redeployed from A to B not working in a group.

Ridden one yet?

Apparently their principles object to sirens :strop:

I've not had the chance to ride one. The peggies are quite protective over their fleet. I did look after one recently but they took the keys away so we couldn't have a sneaky ride around the garage!
