First post and I'm sure this has probably been covered.
Does anyone know what the availability of making a transfer to Strathclyde?
Are there any rules ie IPS etc?

IPS? i presume your from england/wales/anywhere but scotland, we don't patrol on our own here, not even regs...
we also have no comparable development or probationary system (for specials) , we cant drive, we cant do "normal" police training (unless your a special attached to RPU).. you go out with a reg neighbour on cp/response sometimes/ operations/football duty/ "specials" training once a month for 4 hours (which is optional and only on one topic)...
in effect, you will essentially be a probationer for the entire time you are special... t
you will most likely have to start again, including the entire recruitment process, because you will need to learn scots law, different procedures, sec. 14, etc.
phone recruitment and ask, but the answer will almost certainly be no unfortunately

I'm currently a serving special so at the moment it would be as a special.
