Hi

I took mine on 23rd for Derbyshire, i too am nervous about the results but i think that is to be expected, we were told around 20 days for results, however speaking to friends who are already specials and who has recently gone through the NPIA standard they heard within around a week, so fingers crossed may hear something this week..

I really hope i have passed as this is all i have wanted to do plus this is my 3rd attempt (but with a different force).. It may be 3rd time lucky for me, i have done nothing but prepare for it for the last 3 months, making sure my answers hit all the positive indicators for the competenies, currently work for South Yorkshire Police as a civilian so am hoping my experiences within the police have helped me..

Good luck re post and let us know the results..

:aok:

This is my first time applying for Nottingham specials and I have been an avid reader of forums for past month or so which is giving me more enthusiasm for the job. I am nervous because its not been like a typical job where the interviewer actually kind of gets to know you and find out what you can bring to the job. It just seemed a bit narrow and don't give you much time to show your full potential. I know I have to demonstrate the competencies and that I am capable in doing the job and the competencies but I just felt it a little impersonal.

Also the proposal document has got me worried as well because the 20 minutes flew by. After I had read it through and made notes so I didn't mess anything up I only had 10 minutes left and had to rush to get it finished so I could show that I could write. I would of wrote plenty if it was done on a pc haha.

Good luck as well mate

Yeah i had my assesment centre yesterday, and i agree that the 20 minutes wasnt really enough, as i didnt get to finish it, also they didnt seem to make it clear as to what we were being marked on.. the content or our punctuation and the way it was written? Oh well, i suppose we'll all find out when we get the results!
