I passed this evening too, was lovely meeting both Andy and Karen (Carol? She spoke in rather hushed tones!).

Off to the Medical, hope you all did well. :)!

Congrats guys, As did I! Just come out of there too.

I agree they were both really nice and made what is usually a very difficult thing for me (interviews) actually enjoyable!

Now to get shifting a few pounds for the medical, eeep!

Haha best of luck! I've had trouble NOT losing weight recently! Dropped down to under 11 stone for the first time since I was 13!

How did you dress? I went pretty much the whole hog, shirt, tie, neat trousers, lovely polished leather shoes and everything! Not something I like wearing too often! :).

Was a lovely experience, now I have to find a way of tucking my hair up properly and easily so it's completely out of the way and un-tuggable!

Oh that won't take long, you can lose 2kg in no time at all.

My BMI is about 21 so I think I'm okay! :).

Yes the hair was an issue, it's about two feet long and when it's in a ponytail it goes to my waist so that's just not acceptable on duty as it'd be too easy to get incapacitated by some yobbo pulling on it which means I have to practice tucking it up nice and tight!

Glad to see people passing!

They did say that they'll be e-mailing us with a Medical date soon.

Given the current rate of the application I expect it will be quite soon as people have been getting PIRT dates very soon after applying and my interview was less than a month after my PIRT as were a fair few others, it's going very fast from what I've seen posted.

Maybe this is because we are the last group going through the 'old' training before the new training is implemented so they want to rush us through to the training?

No complaints though! Posted Image! Enjoying it thoroughly and looking forward to the Medical.

Just an addition, I have a date for my Medical now. It's in mid-March which is just over a month away, fairly quick as I posted above!

Hopefully Boodeny and the rest of those who managed to pass their interview got such an e-mail today? I hope so!

Cheers!

My BMI was 27.5 and was acceptable...I believe they will accept anything up to 30? Its a farce really I'm 6'3 and 15 stone so if i was to get to my ideal BMI of 25 I'd have to shed a stone and a half...I think that would make me ill...!!!!!:)

We had a student on our course who left because her hair was too long...again a pony tail to her waist...she refused to have it cut and decided to leave. But like you say it is an occupational hazard and to have that wrentched while being entangled with Mr Crim would not be pleasant!! I am like Telly Savalas / Yule Bryner / Adrian Moorhouse???? Before your time perhaps....so I have nothing to worry about on that count!! :aok: :D

BMI doesn't work for taller people, it doesnt allow for your body being any wider than a short person. So unless you look like Peter Crouch (a regular height man that has been stretched) you will always be over the "Healthy" limit.

I believe she thought there was too much to tie up..it would have been in her best interests really or trimmed at least but each to their own. :)

The problem with the long hair is as mentioned, Mr. Criminal will tug it at the first opportunity to get me off him.

They said it'd have to be up tight, neat and out of the way so it's basically as if it isn't there which is a very tall order but it's doable, makes total sense though.
