Sorry your wrong the persons that start on Monday were applicants from 3 or 4 years ago not the 2010 recruitment drive some are also transfrees

They're not picking 15 people out of 220. If you make the grade you'll go to the next stage. This recruitment drive isn't just to fill the September intake.

We've been told this is a four year plan. I think a Sept AC is very likely, conveniently placed in the calendar so that it will cover the next tax year too.

My friend starting in TVP took well over 24 months from beginning to end in the application process.

While some one has mentioned the internal thing like other forces here's my 2p:
The idea works theoretically but I still don't think it's fair on those who can't volunteer to it. Also, the specials is not there as a stepping stone into the regs. Of course 50% (when I joined) used it as that but it is there to give some thing back, to do as a hobby, or to add some excitement to your life.

I think it would be much better to do like they do in Kent. You go to college and get a qualification in policing (you can still be a special, I was) then you can apply with the qualification. Of course it's not compulsory. It's similar to how they do nursing.

When do people get their results for the assessment centres that they have taken this week??? Im still waiting to hear back for an assessment date / to see if I have passed the paper sift!

Hi guys, just stumbled across this website, Im one of the 12 that starts on Monday. Ive been on hold since 2010, got a random phone call in February offering me the June start date, subject to final interview, vetting and medical. Just wondering how you find working for Suffolk police? Is there anyone else who is starting on Monday on here?

Its like any large organisation really, there are good things and other things that could be improved but there are some great people. All the best with your training.

No, no ones mentioned it yet. My earlier post was regarding the second phase people who haven't heard from the papersift

Yeah I'm not too worried. I have plenty of time, & if I'm honest the longer it takes the better for me.

I do hope my friend gets in though. For them it's a different story & they deserve it more than most

Everyone should have a yes or no for assesments by now. Huge chunk of people heard today.

No one deserves a place over anyone it's how you do on the day that counts

In a way I sort of disagree. Obviously only those who pass should get through that's the point of it being an assessment, but I don't think that makes a difference on how deserving a person is?

Anyway they called me earlier to say they got through

By email, one of my SCs also heard yesterday. No one has said that they have heard that they haven't passed yet, and I think there are more passes to come yet so hang in there
