Back in 2009 I designed and launched a new PoliceSpecials.com tie pin, one of a series made over the years. Here it is:

And in early 2000 we had a 21st Century Special pin, which looked like this (click on the image to see it full size):

Attached File  21c_pin.jpg   34.42K   95 downloads

We also used to sell, back in the dim mists of time, a whole series of other bits and pieces of merchandise through the site, including mugs, helmet key rings (as I remember they were extremely popular and sold out in days!), ps.com key rings (not so popular )

Attached File  Helmetfront.jpg   13.26K   85 downloads Attached File  pscom_mug_pic.jpg   46.85K   41 downloads Attached File  pscom_keyring_sml.jpg   5.66K   21 downloads

Anyway PatrolStore, prompted by an email from a member here on the site, have asked me to ask you, our lovely members, what sort of merchandise, if any, they'd like to see. I've created a poll (a poll! a poll!, etc) so please vote and please feel free to add your own ideas and comments in this thread, and who knows if there's enough demand there, you may see some more ps.com branded stuff coming your way.

By the way, our friends at PatrolStore still sell the 'original' tie pin (it's not the very first one ever designed, but those are lost in the mists of time, wonder if anyone actually has one kicking about anywhere, should get it for the PS.com museum perhaps!) and of course the under-appreciated but still very desirable ps.com challenge coin :w00t:

I like the 2009 design. I need a new one because I wear mine every day on my work wear and the pin snapped off the back. After some considerable time I managed to solder the pin back on but the heat from the soldering iron turned the silver backing on the star an odd shade of gold!

Ah, I feel responsible now...

I think there is real hunger for the 2009 style Tie Pin (I would certainly like one), and the Custodian Key Ring sounds a laugh!

Thanks,
Adam

I'd certainly buy a couple of 2009 Tie Pins. I like the design, simple and to the point

Of course you are responsible and you do realise that at the end of this exercise any merchandise left over you have to buy all of it!

How about some stickers? What about PS.som Branded holdalls (for those not issued with a kit bag for all their gear), baseball caps.

At a heavily reduced rate, of course...

What about PS.som Branded holdalls (for those not issued with a kit bag for all their gear),

Or a PS.com banded duty bag - beats OpZulu any day!

Someone else suggested somewhere the idea of PS.com embroidered badges, that people could put on their existing holdalls/bags as desired. Might be a good alternative to PS.com branded Holdalls.

Also, that custodian helmet looks very nice indeed.

I've discovered one in my big drawer of pins. PM me if you still want it

I like the idea of embroided badges with the option to add shoulder number and name.
I also will buy one of the 2009 pins

Not just yet, we're going to let the thread run for a week or two. The good people at NSI are also reading and looking for ideas!

I want the mug to return! LV if you have a spare knocking about in your garage do let me know so I can buy it from you LOL

Also think pens are something everyone needs. I think they could be very popular.

The baseball cap sounds good, and maybe a tee shirt.
