Hi all,
i havent applied to join yet, but looking to do it in the new year when i finally start getting better.
Its just an enquiry but i been seeing a few posts about getting assessed at Huntingdon police station. But i was wondering if they do the training or any of the assessments in Cambridge??
But i have read that the training is on Wednesdays and Sundays. And at the moment i am short on cash every week so if the training is in Huntingdon its going to be a pain trying to afford to get there every week.

Can anyone help with my question?

Most, if not all of the assessments get done at Monks Wood.

Ongoing training gets done wherever you are working from.

As blackpig states, I believe the assessments are now done at monks wood. I did mine elsewhere but all the venues do seem to be around Huntingdon.

Your initial classroom training is all done at HQ in Huntingdon. OST and First Aid are also at monks wood.

Ps...you can claim travel expenses back :D

All learning and development is at Monks Wood now mate. The Hex building is being revamped for other things. Monks Wood is a good venue, everything in one place so good for role plays etc. I reckon a better site for training all in all. You can do OST and First Aid in the same place too which is a bonus.
